Frequently Asked Questions About Sports Training and Physical Therapy

Do you take insurance?

In order to provide the level of care that our clients seek us out for, we do not accept insurance. We accept cash, all major credit cards, and even Venmo, but we do NOT bill insurances. We know that is disappointing for some, but when you train with us you'll understand what sets us apart and why we are #nextgenPT. We look forward to working with you!

We can help you answer this question with our FREE 15-minute discovery call. Some conditions that may improve with physical therapy: sports-related or other acute injuries, post-operative pain, joint pain, chronic pain, aging (yes, really), and musculoskeletal disorders.

What is MasterSTANDOUTS and how is it different from personal training?

MasterSTANDOUTS is our adult group training class (for ages 18-99) rather than being one-on-one training like our regular personal training appointments. These classes currently run twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am-12pm. We offer small class sizes of up to 10 people, so it's best if you sign up ahead of time to secure your spot!

What Sports Training Program Do You Use for Athletes?

You're looking for ChampSTANDOUTS or STANDOUTSjr.

Our main youth offering is ChampSTANDOUTS which is for ages 10-18. Classes run Monday-Friday at 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm. All of our training classes are taught by professionals with degrees and credentials. We NEVER have students teaching our classes and we focus a lot on injury prevention as well as increasing ability. We measure increase in ability like the pros. There's never any guessing about how much better your child has gotten.

We follow our F.A.S.T. Program developed by Dr. Carlos Berio (the owner of SPARK). Dr. Carlos' degrees/credentials and experience give him an edge in understanding the human body. In addition, he has played in and coached adult baseball leagues NABA, MSBL, and Idependent League. Dr Carlos is sought out by university athletes and has worked with many kids who went on to play university sports over the years. SPARK has a university flag for every person they've worked with who went on to play university sports.

I'm confused. Is SPARK a gym? I thought you were Physical Therapists, but you also have memberships and group classes? What services does actually SPARK offer?

We inhabit an area of health & wellness that is different from what most people have come to expect from physical therapy.

The easiest way to explain our services is by explaining our "Pain Performance Continuum". We take on injured clients on the Physical Therapy side of our business and get them back to a level of functioning that will allow them to join the Performance side of our business to keep getting better and better!

We also work with non-injured clients of all ages on the Performance side to help keep them from getting injured in the first place. On top of that, we offer our STANDOUTS classes/passes/memberships in three tiers for three different age groups to give more opportunities at different price points for everyone to be healthy. We aim to get, or keep, people moving at any age to to allow them to work on their health and reduce the possibility of injury.
