Dr. Carlos Berio, Executive Director & Performance Physical Therapist

Dr. Carlos J. Berio, a highly trained sports fitness physical therapist in Alexandria, VA, has been helping clients of all fitness levels since 1998. 

With a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, a Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology from George Washington University, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, he specializes in reducing pain and enhancing performance through personalized care. 

As Executive Director, Carlos is dedicated to cultivating a top-tier team of physical therapy and fitness professionals, while his passion for one-on-one care and client education empowers individuals to move pain-free and achieve remarkable physical transformations. 

Adam Gleason, Personal Trainer

BS, CPT

Adam is an Arlington/Alexandria native, who studied health science and dietetics at James Madison University and earned his degree in personal training from the National Personal Training Institute. 

With over 20 years of experience, including his time at Army Navy Country Club as a post-orthopedic specialist, Adam has collaborated with physical therapists to aid clients in their recovery. 

An avid Nationals baseball fan, he enjoys time at the ballpark with his sons, Ethan and Everett. Adam shares SPARK’s belief that smart, hard work is the best medicine, encouraging clients to prioritize self-care for overall well-being. 

Drew Scull, Front Office Admin, Graphic Designer, BFA

Drew is a native of Annandale, VA, whose professional background is in Graphic Design, but has also worked behind the desk at other local fitness/sports facilities and country clubs ever since high school. He was enticed by the message of SPARK, which aligned with his own personal goals of getting better rather than staying the same. He is responsible for the website you see before you, along with much of the promotional materials you'll see in and around the facility, and he also oversees SPARK's social media presence online.

In his spare time, he enjoys watching the Washington Capitals (in person or on TV), checking out live music, dining at local restaurants, reading, and traveling. 

David Eackloff, Coach

David was the head strength and conditioning coach for the Chinese National Moguls Ski team, with two of his athletes competing in the 2022 Winter Olympics. Over his four years in Asia, he coached a range of clients, including professional, recreational, and Paralympic athletes, while also mentoring emerging coaches and sports scientists through lectures and clinics.


A competitive tennis player in his youth, David developed a passion for fitness early on, exploring obstacle course racing, rock climbing, and weightlifting in college. After earning a master’s in exercise science, he coached at Clemson and Texas A&M University.
David believes in the power of consistency for long-term success and builds strong relationships with clients to make fitness a fun, integrated part of their lifestyles, helping them achieve small victories along the way. 

Marcus Williams, Coach

Hailing from Tallahassee, Florida, Marcus brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. He earned his bachelor's degree at Faulkner University in Exercise Science, where he also showcased his athletic prowess as a cornerback on the football team. Currently, he is pursuing a master's degree in Sports Studies at the United States Sports University.

Marcus holds multiple certifications in performance enhancement, stretch and flexibility coaching through NASM, as well as being a certified ISSA personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. 

Marcus is passionate about helping athletes of all levels unlock their potential, build their confidence, and achieve their fitness goals. When working with Marcus, parents and athletes can expect an attentive approach and compassionate teaching style, which makes every group strength and conditioning session with  Marcus effective and enjoyable. 

AJ Constantino, Coach

AJ knew he had a passion for movement and exercise early in life. He is a full-time DCPS K-12 Health and Physical Education teacher. He also tutors students in other subjects like math and science. He has a Master’s degree in Health & Wellness Education and completed his undergraduate program at SUNY Cortland where he discovered a love for the science behind bodybuilding, biomechanics and nutrition.

A.J. specializes in bridging the gap between nutrition, good movement, and building strength with the goal of creating physically literate individuals who have the necessary tools to combat avoidable chronic illness and maintain a physically active and healthy lifestyle. In his spare time he enjoys raising his sons, Landon and Collin, playing pickleball, and doing anything motorsports related.
