We are super excited to announce some great news! Back by popular demand, we are continuing to offer our clients FREE YOGA CLASSES! Every Sunday at 3:30pm, we will have guest instructors leading a small class for those who want help with their increasing of body awareness; relieve chronic stress; relaxing the mind and center attention, among many other benefits. Did we mention these classes are FREE!?
What's even cooler is these classes will be held by licensed Yoga instructors who also happen to be SPARK clients! Each week they will focus on different aspects of Yoga to make sure participants get the most out of every session. This week the class will be a Hatha Slow Flow class with traditional Hatha poses linked together in a flow with the breath. Typical poses include gentle stretches to warm up the spine, hips, and shoulders with guidance provided for modifications to suit all levels of students. Alignment and breath will be emphasized to cultivate a deeper relationship with the mind-body connection. Hatha flow is a great complement for strength training or other athletics because it helps build flexibility and greater awareness of your body’s proprioception.
These sessions include training that will help you to be your best self on the court and that are specific to racquet and paddle sports including tennis, pickleball, racquetball, and badminton. We address things such as preventing common types of sport related injuries in these sports such as Tennis elbow, wrist, knee and other overuse injuries. We will focus on improving your on court agility utilizing specific change of direction and footwork drills as well as putting a large emphasis on strength and power development.
